Barry M Loud Mouth

I really like that these are liquid lipsticks, which is basically a lipgloss with more pigmentation.
people say these are like OCC lip tars, but the OCC are more pigmented, less glossy and dry matte whereas these don't.

From bottom to top:
LM7 Tell-Tale
LM6 Screamer
LM5 Chatterbox
LM4 Show Off

Tell-tale is a pinky nude

Screamer is a bright coral

Chatterbox is a peachy pink

Show Off is a bright pink

The formula is very glossy and creamy. I don't think they apply that well, they're quite streaky.
Before you use them you will need to shake them because they start to separate.
I prefer to apply these straight from the tube but you could use a lip brush.

They have a fruity scent and it is quite strong, but I like it .
I find that they only stay on for about an hour as they are so glossy, it would be better if they dried matte; but for the price you shouldn't expect much.
They are £3.99 each.
Although they are streaky I really like them and need to wear them more often.

Beauty Haul

Today I thought I would show you what I've bought over the past few weeks.
So lately I've been saving my money because there was nothing I wanted to buy, and I still had some birthday money left and a few gift cards.

First of all on to the face:

As you can see I didn't buy much, I got the Bourjois healthy mix foundation in the shade 51 light vanilla which is the lightest they go and it suits my skin perfectly.
The next thing is the Sleek blush in Life's a Peach, which is a muted coral.

Next on to the eyes:

The first thing I got was the Urban Decay eye arsenal (which is exclusive to Debenhams and Macy's) the set came with two eye shadows (exclusive to the set) a mini primer potion and a mini 24/7 eyeliner. The purple eyeshadow is in the shade Guilt and the cream is in the shade Minor Sin.
Both of these shades are gorgeous, I prefer to apply these with my finger then you get more colour pay off. The eyeliner is in the shade Zero which is more of a glossy black.
The 17 eyeshadow is in the shade ivory Coast.

Then the lips:

As you can see I have a lot for the lips, I have three lipsticks.
One from Barry M in the shade 101, which is a very light nude pink, and two from Maybelline, the nude one is from the Buffs collection, I have the shade tantalizing taupe. The other shade is from the Vivids and this is in the shade Shocking Coral.
I got four of the Barry M loud mouths which a lip gloss with more pigment (from left to right the shades are tell-tale, screamer, show off and chatterbox)
Then the last three are lip crayons/chubby sticks. I have a Clinique mini one (from this months glamour) which is in the shade 06 woppin' watermelon, the next one is from Bourjois and it is a colour boost in the shade 03 orange punch. (this is good for summer as it has SPF 15)
The last is from 17 in the shade I don't know but you get it free when you buy two things and its the more orange one.

Last of all the other:

The perfume is from Pull&Bear and its the shot for woman in gold (I love this: it's in the shape of a camera) and the other thing is a Ganier moisture match moisturiser and this is the hydrating one.

Beauty Books

This is a different post for me as I tend to do beauty things. But this is still beauty related (as that's my forte.)
I thought tat for this blog post I should write about some books.
These are the Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual and the Nars Makeup You're Mind.
I love both of these books and I was very happy when I got them for Christmas because they were so exciting for me; I'd wanted them for ages.
Out of the two I cant say which one I like better because they are both so different, the Nars one shows you different beauty looks on all different people so you are bound to find someone that has a similar skin tone, face shape ect... to you which is why I find it so useful.
Another thing I like about it, is when it tells you the products it tells you what Nars product to use or an alternitive which is super handy if you can't afford the whole range of Nars products like me.
Another thing I find cool is it shows you what the model looks like before and after makeup then there is also a see-through plastic sheet which shows you where to apply the makeup, and what to apply.
This is a good book if you are a beginner and want to try new looks.
With this book it can be good for boys/men because there are some male models as well.

You can only get this book on amazon now and it varies price but most of the time it is £20,

I love the Bobbi Brown one because it gives you makeup tips, not looks.
There are many different chapters like: equipment, skin, face, lips, eyes and artistry which is good if you are wondering what it's like to be a makeup artist, and tells you what things you would need.
This one I find really useful because it tells you things like what makeup products are good to travel to certain places or what is a good amount of makeup to have.
A thing I find good is it tells you how to apply products for you face type or skin tone and tells you what eyeshadow will look good on your eyes or what lipstick will look good on you.
This is also good for beginners because it tells you what brushes to buy and what they're used for or tells you how to apply makeup for you're face shape.
I find myself reading this quite a lot.
This you can also get on amazon as it's a lot cheapher than buying it on the Bobbi Brown website.
The price varies on this but sometimes it's £15.

My Favourite Bronzers

When it comes summer time I like to bring out my bronzer .( I don't tan very well) so I have to whip on some bronzer so I don't look really pale. I have three go to bronzers, which I use daily, that I love.

The one I like best, out of the three, has to be the HD brows powder foundation in the shade 9. I know this isn't a bronzer, but the bronzer shades were way too orange so I went for a dark foundation shade and it's the best colour for my skin tone because its more brown than orange. It is a matte shade because personally I hate shimmery bronzers, I hate glitter or shimmer in general on my face. For this bronzer I use the Real Techniques Contour Brush to apply it to my face then with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to blend it all in, so I don't have any harsh lines.

Another one of my favourites is the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzer. (the chocolate bronzer to you and me) This is in the shade 501 which is the lighter of the two shades. This bronzer claims to have shimmer which you can see in the pan but when you put it on your face you cant see it so if you're a bit hesitant to buy this because of the shimmer, you can barely see it. The texture of this is so soft and fine, it's really nice. This is also quite subtle but it is build-able colour.

The last bronzer is the Sleek Bronze Block in the shade Light. I like this because it has three bronzer shades and a pink blush/highlighter. The reason I like it is because you can create so many shades out of this. I tend to mix the two lighter shades for a contour shade, or mix all three shades for an overall bronzer. I use the pink shade for a blush, as it is quite a light pink. This is more powdery than the other two but it is still very nice.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam Mascara

So the other day I decided to buy a new mascara and I thought the Rimmel scandal eyes retro glam looked nice and it had a cool name. the main reason was because the wand looked really cool it is a fibre hourglass brush, which is the main reason I got it because I don't have one like that and it looked like it would give lots of volume to my lashes, it did exactly the opposite. I found it didn't do much for my lashes, it didn't lengthen them that much so they look quite wispy which I don't like. Personally I wouldn't recommend this mascara unless your new to makeup or like a natural look.

Sleek Blush by 3 in the shade Lace

Sleek is one of my favourite high street brand, and I love their blushes, the quality is fab and the colours are so pretty. They have a wide range of colours and they would look good on most skin tones. I have the shade lace which has two matte and a shimmer.
The one thing I do not like about Sleek is the packaging gets really dirty and I can't find anyway to clean it off, as you'll be able to tell in the picture above.

I love the colours in this trio and this, for me, had the most suitable colours.

From left to write the colours are crochet, guipure and chantilly

Crochet is a bright orange shade which is matte. I like to wipe the brush on the back of my hand just to get the excess colour of, or i would look like a pumpkin which for me isn't a good look. This would we be great if you had quite tan skin, I think if you had pale skin it might wash you out or make you very orange.

Guipure, this is almost the same as rose gold single blush. It is a pink blush with gold shimmer. This can be a dupe for Nars orgasm but a lot cheaper and you get 3 blushers not 1. When I first bought the palette I was scared to use this colour because it looks very shimmery and I don't want to look like a disco ball. But after a while I decided to use it and I absolutely love it, it is a subtle shimmer that you can build up if your wanted to.

Chantilly , the last shade, is a bright coral this is also matte this is quite a full on colour. I like to apply it lightly so it doesn't look like I have flustered cheeks. This is quite similar to mac's frankly scarlet or benefit's Bella Bamba but a bit darker.

I find with the matte shades they are quite hard to blend so I mix them with a powder to make that easier to do so.

The price of the palette is £9.99 and you can get it in either boots or Superdrug or you can get it cheaper on Amazon like I did.

I would recommend this too most people but if you have pale skin then I don't think it would be good for you.

Too faced Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette

Around Christmas time I was looking on Debenhams (like most days for me) and I found the chocolate bar  palette by Too Faced and as it was on sale I thought why not, it's something different.

I have to admit this is defiantly a splurge for £45 but you can sometimes get it in the sale, like I did.
It has 16 cocoa infused eye shadows that range from matte to shimmer. All together the eye shadows weigh 0.62 oz, 14 of the shades weigh 0.3 oz and the two larger ones weigh 0.10 oz which is quite reasonable.

This, I find, can be used for different things. I use some of the matte browns for contouring, I just mix a few of the colours together to get the perfect shade. I use the matte cream colour to either set my under eye concealer or to blend either bronzer or blush, and I use the pink shimmer as a highlighter on either my cheek bones, brow bone or the inner corner of my eyes. I also use the baby pink one as a blush, it looks pretty in the spring or summer. Both of the matte cream and shimmery pink are the larger colours but the baby pink is a smaller one.
I just think overall this palette is very versatile.

I love the packaging of this and as you can see it is a brown chocolate bar shape with blocks to represent the look of a chocolate bar, and says Too Faced in pink writing in the top corner and chocolate bar in gold writing in the bottom corner. This doesn't clip together when you shut it, it's got a magnet so if you are going somewhere you might want to tie something round it to secure it.

I think for the price they could of given a brush or a primer like they do with the urban decay naked palettes.

I think if your are willing to spend the money, I would defiantly recommend this.
